Robin Thicke’s going in for his upcoming album called “Sex Therapy” and collaborating with big names such as Kid Cudi, Snoop Dogg, Estelle, Jasmine Sullivan & none other than Mr. Shawn Carter himself, he also shared his excitement about working with Jay-z on his twitter page as well:
“In the studio today with Jay Z… His Hovieness!! So excited!!” he tweeted. “He’s jumping on one of my records for my Sex Therapy album. Wish me luck!!”
And speaking about the album Robin tells MTV:
“The album, as a whole, is actually the first time I didn’t write and produce everything myself,” he revealed. “I tried to create a new sound that I had never had before. A lot of people are telling me it’s the best album yet, so I’m really excited. I hope that they’re right!”
The album “Sex Therapy” will be released on December 8th 2009
WOW!! i truly have to have to agree with Sneakrhed at A Quick Intermission, these 3 truly do need to do a track together cause their performance here alone was SO MUCH better than the whole award show altogether especially Eminem he went IN on this 1 here check it out.
Now there is some confusion going on in Columbus, Ohio…While here in NYC we’re all thinking how cool it will be for Jay-Z & Alicia Keys to open up the World Series with “Empire State of Mind,” the folks in Columbus, are like so…what about our Jay-Z concert? Now local media outlets are reporting, that while Hov was considering doing both (really now!) 1st stop the Bronx and then a private jet to Columbus…that would obviously never work….
UPDATE: At 5:30 p.m. John Vlautin from Live Nation Worldwide, Inc., the company representing Jay-Z, told The Lantern that Jay-Z will be performing at the Schottenstein Center and that he will perform in New York on Thursday, depending on the weather.
“He will be there in Columbus,” Vlautin said.

Rapper Lil Wayne also known as Wayne Carter pleaded guilty to attempted weapon possession on Thursday, a surprise move that will land the Grammy-winning star in jail for a year, the AP reports. He previously had pleaded not guilty to illegal gun possession charges that carried at least 3½ years in prison. But with the plea, he agreed to a reduced sentence. He will officially be sentenced in February.
On July 27 2007 Police pulled over Wayne’s tour bus in Columbus Circle near NYC’s Central Park, they said they had seen and smelled marijuana smoke wafting out the door before the bus left a concert venue minutes earlier. Police said that as an officer approached, the rapper tossed away a Louis Vuitton bag containing a gun.
Prosecutors said trace amounts of DNA found on the loaded gun connected it to Wayne. His defense lawyer said the gun wasn’t his, and that there were flaws in the way the evidence was tested, the defense also disputed the whole premise used by officers to search the bus for pot.
According to the AP, Wayne acted politely in court when acknowledging that he had a .40 caliber semi-automatic gun on the bus.
Lil’ Wayne’s troubles with the law don’t end in NYC, though. He is also scheduled for trial in Arizona on felony drug possession and weapons charges. He has pleaded not guilty in that case, but in an interview with MTV last year the rapper took responsibility for the arrest, which was also on a tour bus.
“I was irresponsible at that time. Fucked up on my part. No ifs, ands, buts about it. I don’t blame nobody but myself. I can’t blame nobody for not taking my charge. … This is my bus.”

From what i’m hearing & seeing on the net is that Hip Hop artists from Jadakiss, Lil Wayne & even Jay-Z who is #1 on the list isn’t really happy with it at all, as Hov goes in his letter to MTV saying
“MTV, Thanx for this nod of appreciation,” wrote Hov in a statement. “Although I don’t strive to be ‘hot’ for any particular year, I thank you for the acknowledgment. My whole goal is to be recognized as the best ever. I created the term ‘best rapper alive’ as a sign of respect to my fallen comrades (Biggie and Tupac). I believe I’ve allowed a significant grace period, and I believe I would not be respecting myself if being the absolute best was not my goal, and that’s why I continue to push myself until exhaustion … salute. Sidebar: Kanye moment if I may … Eminem?!?! I think you do the credibility of this list a disservice if you don’t thoroughly explain his omission. As of this second he has the highest selling rap album of the year and a scene stealing verse on the best ‘posse’ cut of the year . (*Hands mic back to Taylor Swift … and nobody was harmed, I apologize in advance.)
Now i too have to ask this like everyone else is….Where is Eminem & why is he not on the list??? And why in the hell is Gucci Mane on here??? (Insert C’MON SON! here)
